It’s been a hot minute since I’ve made a blogpost! Sorry about that, school has been quite intense and I’ve been sick quite a bit these past few weeks. Enough with the excuses, though, I’m back now!!
I have been a pescetarian since my 16th birthday, so almost 4 years now. My original plan was to become a vegetarian, but my mom wouldn’t let me do it. She said I had to at least eat fish because 1 it was less difficult for her to cook me food and 2 she was afraid my health would suffer from it. Now that I’m in college and I live on my own on weekdays, I’ve basically become a vegetarian, though. I maybe eat fish three or four times a month, that’s it!
Going vegan for a month has been on my list of things I want to do for a few years now, but I’ve never actually done it. I have no idea why…
Last week, one of my friends, Kim, told me she wanted to go vegan for a month. I obviously said I would join her, cause that way we can kind of support each other. This week is our research week and next week we’ll start our month! We might actually start a YouTube channel where we show you our meals and just tell you about the experience and things like that!
The reason I really want to do this is because the wellbeing of animals is very important to me. I became a vegetarian (pescetarian) for that sole reason, too! And I’m not saying that people who eat meat are awful or anything like that, not at all! You do you, boo! Personally, I just enjoy cuddling cute animals more than I enjoy eating them 😀
I hope Kim and I will succeed in our mission to not eat any animal products whatsoever for a whole month. I’ll keep you guys updated!
Wish us luck!
